  pjustice: back in 2022 I added mailman to pkgreq for you, do you still specifically need 2.x or is 3.x ok? 2.x is stuck on python27 and no longer builds due to usual python module terribleness

  Hmm. I do still have a running installation of it. Guess I need to work on migrating, but that'll take me a while due to other excitement.

  is that on e.g. 2024Q4? you ok if I relax the requirement in trunk and thus 2025Q4 to give you time to migrate? nothing will change in existing LTS

  yes, though there's no guarantee it'll continue to work (it's security/py-cryptodome that no longer builds for python27)
