Is there a way to download the ips repos for an offline server, barring pkgrecv and such? I don't have an internet connected OmniOS box at the moment. I will get one if I really need to do that, but I figured I'd ask first.

google does give you step-by-step directions with "replication IPS repository" ;)

Oh, I've done this with pkgrecv and pkgrepo before, that's not a big deal. That which I was hoping for was whether it even makes sense to use curl or something like that. Otherwise I'll just pull it down with a VM on a laptop or something. In other words, I don't have a OmniOS install that's internet connected available at the moment.

But I shouldn't try to make this harder than it needs to be, so VM it is.

Should work with a ZFS send and recv. At least I think it will.
