Is ther any USB flash update script for SmartOS that is actually working?

I tried one the other day , i found on GitHUB and i think it didnt' work.

I know how to do it manually by following manual from SmartOS Wiki, and I know i can just reflash and change the USB flash drive, but since I were updating it manually for quite some time now, I would love to automate it.

there was, but I can't remember what it was called now - I think the vast majority of folks these days just use piadm

I use piadm too, but removed boot parts from pools and reverted back to booting from USB flash drive, as more secure.

Hm, if piadm would support multiple PIS on flash drive, like on zones pool .. :D

Also SmartOS image downlod now shows here something like, 53Kbytes/s...

Now it is faster.
