Consider the source. Vaxry is banned from FreeDesktop for good reasons. I do not like many things FD does, but Vaxry's behavior was entirely objectionable.

the dtrace call returned only a single match in 5 minutes so far (I'll keep it running)

warden: If you're feeling like living dangerously, you could try this hot patch:

mdb -kwe 'fr_fraglookup+0x176,31/v 90'

That will turn a part of that function which seems a bit suspicious into noop instructions

It might panic if you get unlucky and you're in that function while you do the hot patch, but if it's not firing very often you'll probably be fine
