gwrIs there a good "meta" package to install to get all the bhyve stuff?
-
gwrzonecfg is saying brand bhyve is unkonwn. I installed system/bhyve
-
andyfpkg install brand/bhyve
-
andyfzadm will prompt and do that for you if you happen to use that tool
-
gwrHuh. Never heard of zadm, but haven't done that much with zones.
-
andyfThe default installation does not have a lot of the brands in because updates there generally require a reboot on update.
-
andyfzadm is an omnios-specific tool. It's not required to use anything though, but it's convenient
-
gwrDo I _have_ to deal with zones? (eg. if I don't particularly care about strong isolation etc.)
-
andyfNo, you can run bhyve directly in the GZ
-
gwrthx
-
andyfIt's usually easier to run each VM in its own zone though, but definitely not required.
