mostly since people want me to file a bug w/ qemu about their ahci emulation, but qemu requires a version, and I don't know what version this hypervisor is using

does it reproduce on the packaged qemu?

not sure how easy that is to work out

but the only way I can tell is the guest addition thing

and I'm not 100% on that

i don't have any sytems where I can test that

we've tried to build the qemu guest bits on illumos (for other reasons)... not had success so far

ah, I haven't ever looked

or at the fw-cfg thing

it probably just needs a few weeks of dedicated work to patch and get build

i guess if it's something that should hold up RTI or not
