how do I know if Illumos will support my gpu? I have a somewhat new AMD gpu

I don't think I am supported but I'd be intrested in giving Illumos a shot on my computer

i dont think we support anything recentish from AMD

I vaguely recall the nvidia solaris driver working for us too, but I've not used it myself

although, there are many smaller things that might be a easier thing to start with ... wanting something badly yourself is the best motivator 😅
