I think several different protocols can be tunnelled through those cables

Also depending on who made the cable, it might or might not be good enough for some kinds of signals or power draw

yeah, usb-c's alternate mode allows displayport thunderbolt(audio/video) and other protocols

i rolled back and everythinf works again, there is def something very broken for DP over my tb3 dock or a usb-c -> DP cable
