new website looks nice

I think the new web site is not as obvious where to find things as compared to the previous one.

For example right on the front page is this large very visible 2x3 grid of 6 such as documentation and such but none of them are links to get to the documentation. Those should be links.

maybe working quirks out still?

The banner at the top, seems to cover that.

you highlight your mouse over Documentation you get links to 7 different documentation links.

The navigation bar on the top does work for me. It's just tedious to navigate without an actual mouse. That's annoying. It is less accessible for me.

ketas: do you mean wireguard via ifconfig_<interface> in rc.conf and /etc/start_if.<interface> ? yes, using daemon to make wg setconf non-blocking and not typoing the interface name and everything works fine

so, webcams at work did produce one important benefit here: it helped us filter out the employee who turned out to be the "be butt-naked during the morning meeting, and have video on, and not realize his laptop was pointed directly at his crotch" sort

Certain companies work certain ways, and you just have to find the right one, or even better, create your own and make the rules

It's basically a 100 year old relic, the one guy that works there has been at the store 60 years, he started working there at 16 or so... Then the owner handed it over to him... So you're still looking at wooden floors, stand up humidors, etc

sharmeanix, No answers in between. But there is no reason you cannot create your own mirror. The source for all is readily available.

If I were going to be stuck in a cave for an extended time I would endeavor to have a full copy of all of the source code to everything such that I could rebuild everything from source. That way the cave would be completely selfcontained.

I would start with the base system. It's a cohesive bit by itself. Then move to having a copy of all of the ports that are important. Some ports will likely be too large to take on casually and are also probably not highly used and could be left out.
