kind of sucks that i had to have picked the worst usb drives ever to boot freebsd with :)

the supermicro 1u i have has two internal on board usb ports and i put 2 128GB pny usb drives in it that were low profile to mirror and they go ridiculously slow

I feel like I must have misunderstood. Did you say that you're mirroring USB thumb drives?

i've had a couple die on me before. just pop the broken one out, replace with a new one, zpool replace it, done

those were the sandisk fits .. the really low profile small ones

well. the drives are. the ancient 1u i have them in only has usb2 ports

i have a dom for my ancient isilon but i never had a chance to put it in and yank the SDs because i really don't want to play with the nas since it just works (tm)

i need to get 2 that work in the 1u so i can install proxmox and migrate my jails and containers to the 1u so i could use the ryzen i'm currently using as a fbsd server
