has someone get swedish keyboard layout for macbook air 2012 working ? and with function-key? and maybe wanna share that? :)

I have FreeBSD on my Macbook and had to change some key maps to get it working for EN. Maybe the things I had to do will work for you for Swedish.

The keymaps live under /usr/share/syscons/keymaps. I used keymap="us.macbook.kbd" in /etc/rc.conf.local

And for Xorg I had to copy /usr/local/share/X11/xkb/symbols/us to /usr/local/etc/X11/xkb/symbols/us and modify "key <LSGT> { [ grave, asciitilde, dead_grave, dead_horn ] };" to get the tilde key working.

Installing FreeBSD on Macs, before the installer supported GPT was a bloody pain.

You had to find the super-secret GPT boot floppy image supplied by Apple that no one useful knew about.

you won't get it working on apple silicon

but the amd64 models, probably?

you can boot on (some) apple silicon hardware, but support for things like the nvme controller and ethernet may be missing
