bastille folks are working on integrating etcupdate into their tooling for upgrading jails. do base.txz and src.txz remain the same for a whole major release? from testing, it seems that those files (the ones created at the time of the major release) are what get pulled and extracted, and then upgrading will apply patches onto the extracted filesystem for the pX release.

and for 14.1-RELEASE, anyway, i didn't see any patches to /usr/src. i wonder if that would need to be init'd to a git directory in order to pull a more recent source separately, if that were desired
