scoobybejesusI think I've learned usedbysnapshots before but it completely fell out of my brain. I left the house and am itching to confirm
-
scoobybejesusyep, 12.4G used by snapshots

debdrupI don't necessarily agree that it's required (since freebsd-update supports HTTP caching), but if you've ever wondered how easy manual updates are, here's an article: blog.feld.me/posts/2024/07/updating-freebsd-the-manual-way

Neutron7Hey, is anyone else using Oracle cloud? I have a freebsd machine on ARM64 there, and was wondering if there's any chance of success upgrading it to 14. ? 13.3 works, is there any real reason to run 14.0 or 14.1 ?
-
jmnbtslsQEmaybe no reason to upgrade unless there's a feature or some improvement you specifically want
-
jmnbtslsQEyou could update to 13.4 though
-
jmnbtslsQEwell not qite yet, but soon
-
rtprioNeutron7: i use oracle cloud
-

gh00pHiya. Is there a documented procedure that I can't find for upgrading thin jails per 17.2.2 in the handbook?
-
gh00palso 17.5.2.
-
gh00pThere IS a nod to upgrades in that section, but I think they assume things are mounted writable, and changes to things like /var and /etc that would be handled by mergemaster are not covered. My jails are modeled after the original jails-applcation.html. :/
