btrachtBadRequest: Friday last week you had given me some direction in regards to a call forwarding issue i was having.
-
btrachti have the number that is forwarding to configured in the account as a cellphone
-
btrachtshouldn't that force the switch to use resource/carrier to dial outside the switch
-
BadRequestI don't know in that case. But when possible, Kazoo handles the call onnet even if it is between accounts. This is to save resources (money included). So, if Kazoo figures out the destination number is in another account, it will create "the bridge" between both accounts and handle the call "internally" (not using any external carriers).
-
BadRequestI think "cellphone" devices create a callflow that just moves onto the "resources/offnet" callflow action with the configured cellphone's number as the destination number. Which I would expect should force the offnet call, unless another (or yours) account within that cluster has that number configured in a callflow.
-
BadRequestBut again, I am not sure about that. You may need to look to the logs to figure out what is Kazoo doing with that call.
-
ruhnetBadRequest btracht I'm pretty sure it also depends on the number module used for the DIDs. Some modules (local I think is one) force offnet, even if both sides are on the system.
-
Mooseablea number on an account needs to be set to knm_other afaik, and needs to be made sure its not forced to offnet. But thats for numbers via number_manager. Unless you've for some reason added the external mobile number to your number_manager, then yes, it will just naturally go through your offnet. Theres sup commands to query kazoo how it will rate/deliver/route the call
-
Mooseablesup stepswitch_maintenance lookup_number +xxxxxxxxxx or sup stepswitch_maintenance process_number +xxxxxxxxxx
-
Mooseablei think

BadRequestprocess_number is the one that shows the routes/resources that are going to be used for handling that call. But If I recall correctly, btracht said he was having mixed results, sometimes it works as wanted and sometimes it fails. It looks to be a configuration issue. I think it would be easier/quickier to look at the logs to see what is Kazoo doing with the call when it works and also when it does not and compare the flows in both.

btrachtcalling the number directly works correctly. issue only occurs (intermittently) when forwarding to the number
