What shall i do with this non-working LAN card with RTL8168H , pciex10ec,8161 I have I think 3 of them. Should I accept they are not working under ' rge ' in illumos or is it actually working for some other illumos distro then SmartOS . Maybe it should work if driver alias is added before services have started

I added update_drv -a -i pciex10ec,8161 rge to the service that starts with SmartOS , but it has no effext in working as ' external ' interface

Maybe if it would be added before, earlier in the boot process ?

Should i need to build my own SmartOS tar archive to put on the USB drive that includes driver aliases for that card under rge ?

Is it a GigE ? it *should* match to existing 8168 support.

SmartOS joyent_20260430T145637Z on Intel 7 Series/C210 xHC reports super-speed on xhci, but throughput is only ~108MB/s raw. Is this expected for illumos scsa2usb/xhci/BOT/UASP behavior, or are there tunables/known-good controllers/bridges that might improve this (3x as fast on old macbook)
