I removed cfengine3 from tools a couple of years ago because the version in pkgsrc was too old to support openssl 3.x and nobody had any interest in updating it

from memory I think cfengine 3.x broke a lot of things compared to 2.x which annoyed a lot of users so I'm not surprised there's no interest in it now, especially with many alternatives available (back then there wasn't much choice)

looks like wiz finally updated it to 3.24.1 last year, I can add it back if anyone really wants it
