Depends on the kind of streaming, but I usually start with a search on pkgsrc.se/search.php and then use pkgin to see if the package is available on illumos.

For example, though, if you're looking for audio streaming, we have icecast.

Do keep in mind that pkgsrc.se uses the upstream netbsd pkgsrc tree, and iirc, smartos has additional packages on github in the pkgsrc-joyent and pkgsrc-extra repos. I believe that these repos do not contain package categories, but I don't have enough of an idea to answer definitively on that.
