You want the `test-tarball`. For a release, it's in the release buildstamp directory. For the current release, e.g.

BE CAREFUL... these are designed to be used on a throwaway standalone SmartOS with the big-hammer `smartos-tests` script.

ALSO BE CAREFUL... and I need to fix this, a longstanding bug in the tests-tar file is that you need to be in a directory whose `.` you don't mind getting its permissions altered. E.g. untarring it with PWD=/tmp will break /tmp's permissions.
