I was reading this issue TritonDataCenter/illumos-joyent #368 as I was doing changes that are related to this, blackwood is this issue still something that is desired to be fixed?. My first approach to this would be add the write ops to the described entries, but just return what the user thinks it configured, that should but a better approach should really calling the rctl involved with those metrics, I am more inclined just to
