  in a new bhyve zone i created, i noticed that my "disk0" virtio volume created and the /root dir in the /zones/<uuid> had about 1G free

  I need a little more than that for a ISO. Is there a correct way to make space in /root like by setting quota in my config json ?

  Set a flexible_disk_size greater than the size of the sum of the disks.

  ack, thank you, hadn't heard of that manifest option, will try it

  so setting flexible_disk_size=disk0_size+2G still results in 1024M still free in /zones/<uuid>/root ... going to keep looking

  oh maybe that is just a quota
