Is there some special point in External interface on SmartOS global zone, always getting it's IP randomly, over DHCP (whereas I suppose it always re-create a new MAC address for VNIC on external for global zone) ?

If it is specified in /usbkey/config for external global zone interface to get static IP, it does not get any ip. If it is stated dhcp, it gets another IP over DHCP , every time it boots.

nikolam: You can set external_mac in /usbkey/config to keep a persistent virtual mac across reboots. That's set by default on new installs.

Thanks bahamat :P I fixed mac address now in /usbkey/config under external_mac and it is now fixed IP

But on admin, I wanted to change IP under admin_ip= and It won't change, it stays forever the same IP address on admin interface

like nt acceptin new, changed one.
