  xmerlin: I think I have a branch somewhere to support that, it's mostly replacing them with py311 versions, and I believe py-expat was rolled into the main python distribution

  I didn't run into issues when using GO_VERSION_REQD myself (e.g. tailscale required 122 also), so I don't know what the go-wire thing is about

  jfqd1: ok so somewhere along the way some recent work in ap-php means the thread-safety option got enabled and that changes the symbols

  it's not clear exactly how yet, their configure script is incredibly broken and I've already had to work around some bugs recently
