Is smartos configured to get a crash dump and reboot on receipt of an NMI by default or do I need to change something?

yes, should do, as long as the dump partition is reasonably sized

jperkin, pkg_summary.xz seems to indicate that mariadb-client 10.4.20nb8 should be in the repository, but I'm getting 404s. Ditto server 10.4.20nb16. I think that in fact all of the mariadb packages are missing from the actual repo. Not earth-wreckingly critical, but it might need attention?

and given I recently removed all of the mariadb packages on the local build host so that they would be rebuilt, I strongly suspect I did something stupid and that somehow made its way to the published directory

unfortunately it'll have to wait for the current trunk build to finish for it to fix itself, but at least they will have the charset fix

that will hopefully be finished sometime late tomorrow, due to the openssl 3.3 fix it's basically rebuilding everything so will take a while

sorry, I'm not sure how that happened :/ I'll review tomorrow when I'm fresh and see if I can put even more protections in place
