jperkin, I have expanded the investigation on the Cyrus-SASL issues I was talking about the other day and have found that they are much worse than anticipated. The last completely functional release dates back to 2020Q4, in which the auxprop + SQL functionalities work normally. I have tested them with a perfectly functional Postfix configuration that I use as a prototype. After 2020Q4, Cyrus-SASL becomes unusable with SQL. I

believe this to be a severe regression and extremely disabling for those who, with all the associated difficulties, try to use SmartOS zones and its packages.

xmerlin_: can you write up your findings in an issue please?

Certainly, I am completing the cross-checks and am setting up a test configuration that you can quickly use to see the problems with your own eyes; it's not a 5-second task.

Since I have created test zones with the various releases, I will also use them to test you on the other issue related to MySQL crashes to determine when exactly the regression was introduced in that case as well.
