nikolamWhat this message in mail/SmartOS effectively means: illumos.org/msg/PCIEX-8000-KP I have 2 SATA HD's in it and one 16GB and two 4GB sticks under Smartos Some PCI-E device is failing and beside USB to PS/2 keyboard adapter , power and additional PCI-E LAN adaptor, I have nothing else connected..
-
jbkthe fmdump command should show all the actual events that occurred that led to that conclusion, though I'm not sure offhand how to decode all the various values
-
jbkmight require some source spelinking as well as digging into some standards
-
nikolamfmadm Shows 5 events, let me see.
-
pjusticeYou actually have lots of PCI devices. Ask `prtconf`
-
jvlthank you for NOT hopping on the openzfs bandwagon in illumos and randomly enabling new features by default (github.com/openzfs/zfs/releases/tag/zfs-2.2.1)
-
nikolamjvl, I wonder how that even passed the pre release testing.. Aren't there default testing tools for ZFS as I recall..
-
jbkthere is a test suite, though it apparently did not anticipate whatever steps caused the problem
-
jbki've not looked into the specifics, but trying to replicate 'real world' behavior in a test can be challening depending on what you're trying to do
