Talking about caddy, just a reminder that it is currently broken in its default config on lx-brand. If anybody would like to do some debugging with me, I'd be up for it.

Thanks to danmcd (LIBERA-IRC) we debugged a bit, but hit a hard nut last time at the end of the session

ok seems to be working, I get the impression adding an SMF manifest would be pointless as folk tend to use it with specific configs etc? will be in the next build

With the default Caddyfile in sth like /opt/local/etc/caddy/Caddyfile I guess?

what would it do, have file-server/reverse-proxy/etc as svc variables or something?

Aah, nice. I feel my SMF knowledge is very minimal, maybe too minimal

I think for now I'm probably going to punt and just make the package available, and we can always just add a manifest later if there's some concensus, so far all I see in docs are recommendations that folks write a Caddyfile and serve directly from where the content is

I'm currently trying to install smartos in oracle cloud, but is stuck at boot, I already tried boot -kv -m verbose -B nmi=kmdb and send a nmi but still stuck, but it seems to boot in single user, I'll need to confirm the later

Seems it's working using serial and ttya now I see it booting

Booting in rescue mode made more progress

In the boot prompt is possible to especify to use serial?

jperkin: in OI we simply add sample file but make the services by default fail unless the user modifies the config. with that they have all the bits setup so they don't have to develop a manifest but not enough to footgun themselves with a non working config

The instance seems stuck, the last message was : at mem = 1042960K (0x3fa84000)
