May we talk about why screen scrolling and searching of man pages, became so slow in 2022 on Smartos (global zone, over console at well as over ssh )

If I were talkong about it sooner, I could catsh exact moment/SmartOS update version when it started to happen. But I could catch it by installing older versions with piadm I suppose and pintpoint exact moment..

bigger question is why nano now sets my terminal on fire in the global zone
