pedjaAFAICT, kayak installer installs open-vm-tools when it detects vmware env, which is neat. but how about paravirtualized nic and storage drivers? are they added on demand or?
-
pedjaI've playing with omnios in vmware ws and I am enjoying it very much :) impressively well put-together OS, IMHO

m1ariwarden: bit late to the party, but it might have been worth checking if you're provider can give you native IPv6 - saves the hassel of tunnels and some of the weird issues you might get.
-
m1ariSome providers only provide IPv6 if you ask for it, unfortunetely some still don't support it at all (and it's only been around 20+ years)
-
» m1ari used to run IPv6 at home via a tunnel (he.net - and yes, I have the t-shirt) - but it causes issues with some streaming services as they think I'm in a different area so don't let me watch all the things I wan't
-
wardenm1ari: thank you, my need come from my datacenter provider.: OVH does not provide me more than a single /128 IPv6 address! :'(
-
m1ariI think racknerd provide a few more (100 from memory), but you have to ask for them. Altough with a /64 subnet it's somewhat crazy that providers limit the numbers you can request.
