It seems VictoriaMetrics is available on OmniOS, and I was able to compile the node-exporter. So theoretically I could replicate this setup in a zone, which would then access the other zones and collect the metrics.

Have anybody did anything like this so far?

Till today I told myself I don't want anything fancy, but frankly in case of a firewall misconfiguration I would never notice if the ET calls home using my server generating expensive bills. So maybe I should.
