hi, i tried an install from omnios-r151054.usb-dd on an amd nuc, but after installing the zfs image, it flashes through whatever comes next and resets the box.

are there instructions on how to debug this?

first time dealing with illumos derivatives, bsds and linux run fine on that machine.

Something is probably panicking then. In the boot loader you can select extra options.

One of them will be around the kernel debugger or may be phrased as mdb or kmdb.

If you select the 'Loaded' version then we'll drop into the kernel debugger on the panic.
