I just tried to update to r151054 and got a hung system on boot: No SOF interrupts have been received, this USB OHCI hostcontroller... does anyone know why/what this is?

jayjwa for some reason your usb does not want to play along, it is a bit interesting. Did you try cold start?

Rebooted via reset, previous version 052 works. I'll try a full reboot.

That worked. Whoa, scary stuff.

So, reboot to previous worked but update required an actual power-off.

meaning, the reboot left usb controller into some state the driver startup was unable to handle.

or, rather, state which is not handled by driver startup...

I'll have to remember that going forward.

I havent seen this myself often, but after a while this message has been pop up sometimes.

It's a good idea to delete old boot environments, yes?

Just keep current and last known good...

once you are very sure you do not need anything from those or new one is stable enough for your needs

usually 1-2 is good idea to keep from regular updates
