hey there, so I had another couple hangs this morning. I'm starting to wonder if the hang is being caused in the LSI 1068 driver that is chosen when VMWare has "LSI Logic SAS" chosen as the "scsi driver" for the esxi datastores

i've just now changed it from that to "LSI Logic Parallel", which causes omnios to see it as a "Broadcom / LSI 53c1030 PCI-X Fusion-MPT Dual Ultra320 SCSI (rev 01)"

the reason I'm thinking this is, I got a hang and went into kmdb and did $<savecore, but then got a hang as the dump was starting.

did another nmi to reboot and then got a hang as the system came back up - in other words, when there was a lot of activity on the "boot drive"
