Hi to all. Coming from FreeBSD, where the most of system settings are in the /etc/rc.conf{.d/} file/s, I'm not feeling at home yet in OmniOS for these things...

... so let me ask some newbie questions! :)

the right place to set the timezone and default umask is in the /etc/default/init file?

but the deafult $PATH has to be set in /etc/default/login?

and, speaking about /etc/default/login, why I can login via SSH if it contains "CONSOLE=/dev/console"?

another question about logging login activity (both locally or via SSH): I do not find anything by default in the file /var/log/authlog, neither in any other log file I searched into. Where I need to look into? Thanks!
