andyf just for completes, I migrated my mailserver to hetzner with freebsd and rebooted the still working (and not updates) omnios vm that was my mail server

It also breaks on boot

So it's 100% something they changed on their end

So that confirms linode is not an options anymore for omnios

sjorge, I didn't see the beginning of this.. is the host hanging on boot on linode? Is it similar to illumos.org/issues/15884 by any chance?
