The always fun debate - Setting up a new Omni box as a SAN, going to be tying it to AD shortly and hanging some SMB shares off it. Do I stick with the current LTS, or jump to 048 to get the unspecified CIFS/SMB support improvements?

Hello.  I installed the latest OmniOS release in VMWare Player on my Mac.  I installed open-vm-tools and shared a few folders with the VM.  When I run vmware-hgfsclient, I see the list of folders I shared from my Mac but I can't find them mounted anywhere in OmniOS.  I looked for an hgfs filesystem type for the mount command but do not see

anything.  Has anyone been able to share folders with an OmniOS VM in VMWare?

I don't think it's supported based on the quick googling around I did.

Thanks for confirming.  I couldn't find anything through Google and other searches either.

Does OmniOS support FUSE, I think there is an hgfs fuse client?
