Hm, if I ever pass the exam of OpenIndiana/oi-userland #14630 - we might think about packaging current NUT for OmniOS :) At least, it is a regularly built scenario on the NUT CI farm.

But so far I haven't had first-hand experience with OO packaging system. Or maybe once, if it was me that pushed for ccache beyond just talking the talk? :D

In particular, with the segregation into a "minimal OS baseline" and "the rest of the world" repos, where would NUT as the manager of life and death fit (with its reliance on third-party libraries to actually talk to many types of devices)?

I expect you could land pretty easily in omnios-extra
