pmooneyandyf/hadfl: Any thoughts on shipping neovim in omniosce? I believe jclulow has a set of patches to build it on illumos.
-
pmooney(not sure if anyone else is keen on it)
-
jclulowI hope one day to find time to actually configure and use my port lol
-
andyfI don't see any reason it couldn't be added to the extra repository - the main criterion there is that it's of use to at least one person!
-
pmooneyjclulow: and we should figure out which bits we could upstream, and to where
-
jclulowaye
-
papertigersI was using the neovim stuff and bugging jclulow to update it periodcally. I was getting an ocassional crash on startup...not sure if I have any cores still around
-
papertigersI kind of stop using it recently though

» nomad likes the flag that lets him tell vim to just be classic vi

» nomad is an old
-
richloweif you want _classic_ vi, there's always /usr/has/bin/vi
-
richloweit is very likely too classic for you, tho
-
richloweit's classic enough that _literally any mistake_ makes it exit non-0
-
richloweso if you make one mistake, for eg, writing a commit message, you need to make exactly 255 more so the exit code wraps around back to 0
-
» nomad is amused by that path

nomaddeeply amused, I should say.
