andyf/hadfl: Any thoughts on shipping neovim in omniosce? I believe jclulow has a set of patches to build it on illumos.

I was using the neovim stuff and bugging jclulow to update it periodcally. I was getting an ocassional crash on startup...not sure if I have any cores still around

I kind of stop using it recently though

if you want _classic_ vi, there's always /usr/has/bin/vi

it is very likely too classic for you, tho

it's classic enough that _literally any mistake_ makes it exit non-0

so if you make one mistake, for eg, writing a commit message, you need to make exactly 255 more so the exit code wraps around back to 0
