darwinTribblix updated last month, so shouldn't OmniOS CE, and definitely its bloody edition (bloody is very old now but I know is updated more regularly)
-
darwinoh, I see the blood version was updated last month at least... that took a long time
-
darwinexcellent. How often is that update if I fix my installation and update that with a package manager or something?
-
jbkdarwin: is there a specific fix/change you were looking for? each distro generally has their own release schedules that aren't related to each other... although sometimes certain upstream changes may prompt the distros to all make a update at (more or less) the same time

jbk(e.g. a critical security fix)

jbkanyone seen issues with qemu's ahci emulation?
-
jbk(in particular for CD/DVD devices)
-
jbkalso.. is there a way to set the screen size (specifically # lines) in kmdb?
-
andyfdarwin - bloody is built and published every week or two unless it's being frozen ready for a stable release.

jbkanyone familiar with the AHCI specification? :)
-
jbkgithub.com/illumos/illumos-gate/blo…ta/adapters/ahci/ahci.c#L9477-L9479 -- looking at section 6.2 of the AHCI spec, it's not explicit about what the comment is assuming (and at least with the AHCI emulation scale computing's HV uses -- which I think is just KVM+qemu like everything else linux based), that doesn't appear to be true
-
richlowejbk: I don't think you can affect rows/columns/etc in kmdb
-
richloweunless your terminal matches one of the builtin ones perhaps
-
richlowebut full disclosure, I never even figured out how to switch it when it defaults to vt100 on the early console
-
darwinthanks
-
richloweDo any of you know whether in general we pre-set PP_REF when establishing pages?
-
richlowethat is, does the act of establishing a map count as a reference, for our purposes?
