rmustacc: I know you said there's a smorgasbord of methods involved with indicator/fault LEDs w/ pluggable NVMe devices -- is there anything I can look at that might point me at what a system is using (even if we don't support using it currently)?

from the firmware, it appears this Dell system w/ NVMe boot devices does have LEDs that can (at least) be turned on/off from the firmware, so I'm hoping there's a way it can be done from illumos as well (possibly w/ new code)
