basically, don't quote _only_ page numbers in references. Everything sucks. Quote document, version, section, subsection, everything you possibly can to identify it _uniquely_

imagine some poor sod has to come find your reference after they've re-written the document :)

well, actually if you really want to find the table, you do not need page number for that:) Especially, if you will pick more recent version in front of you - then the page number wont match anyhow, but the information is still present:)
