szilardI have recently migrated from FreeBSD to OmniOS on my NAS, I knew I can't simply use the old zfs disks, so I had to create a backup which can be made with FreeBSD and can be read by OmniOS. This guide helped me a lot:

AedilHi, buds, my MaXX interactive desktop is running great on the second day of use! I have a new screenshot of MaXX on Oracle Linux 9.5 for you: gist.github.com/adriankiess/da7ab856a24437e2987c993b2b6f37e4 — MaXX is a re-implementation of the 5Dwm window manager for SGI IRIX. It is available for FreeBSD and Linux! docs.maxxinteractive.com — My thought was, this might be of interest for
-
Aedilyou! MaXX would be also a good addition to CDE (Common Desktop Environment) in the NetBSD pkgsrc collection!
-
szilardAedil: does it still uses ROX file manager?
-
szilardToo bad it isn't open source and not a faithful reimplementation :( I would love to have an SGI Tezro or Fuel, but I don't have money and storage space for them. The best option is emulating the HW using MAME.
-
Aedilszilard: Yes, it uses ROX Filler!
-
AedilMaXX interactive desktop's ~/.chestrc for the Toolchest is like the menu configuration for CTWM (on NetBSD).

dangergrrlyay! I'm getting an adafruit usb->gpio board so i can jtag the pi
-
dangergrrl$17, not bad
-
dangergrrloh, cheaper on amazon w/free shipping and the same board will help me unbrick my router
-
dangergrrland why does adafruit charge so much for shipping on top of the boards being way more expensive than cheap equiv boards on amazon?
-
dangergrrlat any rate within a week i should be able to help debug illumos on arm/ pi 4b
-
dangergrrlI won't say I'm all wonderful or anything but I should be able to provide more useful feedback than 'my screen flashes a couple of times then the bootloader restarts'
-
dangergrrlI'm sure I'll learn more than I ever wanted to know about illumos initialization in the kernel and such...
