i also recognize though that I may not be the best judge of what is or is not easy :) but obviously if people are that averse to mdoc, i'd just like an option that people are ok with that also produces good results

or at least i've thought having such an option would be nice...

mdoc(7) does link to mandoc.bsd.lv/mdoc which I found/still find useful.

yeah.. one thing i didn't know (at the time) is that tbl works with mandoc -- there's a few converted pages that might be good to go back and add a simple table (to match what was there prior)

since i haven't been able to do much in a long time, and wanted to do some

but more so, so you could get more than regular/bold/underline text

(e.g. colors for different types of things, header + footer while scrolling, section/TOC navigation, etc)

don't know if it'd be interesting to anyone but me, but seemed like a fun little project
