rmustaccleah2: What is the pci ID of your new device for reference?
-
rmustaccHmm, I guess we don't really have the newer mac version support so it may be a little bit involved.

danmcdTIL with MacOS (if you're an NFSv4 client):
-
danmcdsudo sysctl vfs.generic.nfs.client.default_nfs4domain=work.kebe.com
-
danmcd(fill in your favorite domain for "work.kebe.com")
-
jbkit'd be nice if it supported DNS lookup like illumos does
-
danmcdIt might, but how do I set "domain" in MacOS's DNS client? I can only set "search"
-
danmcd(Right now it seems to default to mac-mini.work.kebe.com, which doesn't help.)
-
danmcdI have a script that fixes some things anyway (automounter) so I just inserted that sysctl into it.
-
jbkunfortunately, it looks like HP-UX was the only other one to adopt support for obtaining the domain via TXT record
-
sommerfelddanmcd: as I understand it, "domain" in resolv.conf is really just the way to set search[0].
-
danmcdWell, unless I sysctl it explicitly (or perhaps reboot?!?) I cannot seem to get it to work. I just (re)confirmed that having _nfsv4idmapdomain in my DNS as a text record doesn't seem to help. :(
-
danmcdAnd search[0] with just the list is the correct one, but MacOS 15's NFSv4 doesn't seem to like it.
