It appears that people are having trouble ONUing to gate on OmniOS r46 or r48 after 16718 went in. r50 and bloody are fine. Those earlier releases need an updated `pkg` to cope with it and they'll be in the next release. In the meantime there is a hotfix for r46 anyone who needs it. Sorry about that, I took the time to ensure that omnios bloody, OI and Helios were fine, but neglected to test the earlier OmniOS releases.

I don't think it's documented anywhere. I'm the same, I always onu from bloody. I know some people use LTS (r46) though.
