Hi, I've installed OmniOS on a Fujitsu server and linke to use ipmitool. I cannot access IPMI via device, but only via IP. Is this the expected behaviour? See: paste.opensuse.org/pastes/25cc276ac378

unixery-u1 - what kind of fsc box is it? I use old ones (like primergy s7 and s8) in our lab and "ipmitool sensor" gives me some output - this is on smartos, though

it's a quite old TX1320 M3 (Xeon v6 generation)

I wonder if the ipmi devices should/could be available in illumos...

yes, updated both BIOS and IRMC to the latest version. But it may be a licensing thing...

unixery-u1 - I got a rx200s8 here - whith Firmware 9.62F from 2020. it says I have permanent license keys for KVM and MEDIA installed

no, there is no ipmi device. I guess I should boot a Linux Live USB and have a look there first

unixery-u1 - I'm not sure - I've not configured the irmc. I remember times, when we had to attach a keyboard to the box in order to use the serial console of the irmc, though...

unixery-u1 - have you installed the "driver/ipmi" package? It doesn't look like it's part of the default installation set.

Hello experts, to run illumos, should disable NUMA in UEFI/BIOS setting?

and I see there is a little different of /kernel/drv/sd.conf, in smartos it defines sd-config-list for some disk, should set to 4096 for the block size for all disks?
