when booting using ipxe how do I specify that I want to drop into kmdb ?

neirac if you know how to boot to single user mode (-s), then you can pass -k or -kd using the same method:D

neirac: On standalone SmartOS it's configurable on the loader screen.

Prob. also on other distros with a loader screen.

on loader ok prompt you can also just enter : boot -k or boot -kd ipxe, I think, needs in ipxe config file, I suppose

oh I'm sorry I was trying to boot omnios using ipxe, I should have been more specific. I'm taking a look at SmartOS ipxe menu
