rmustacc: just stumbled upon execvpe() usage in some code, and found that there's an issue filed for it; so was just wondering if it would go in any time soon, otherwise no worries, easy to workaround

I wonder how painful it'd be for us and third party software if the err.h family had the appropriate PRINTFLIKE compiler annotations.

I guess there's only one way to find out.
