tsoome: "why slog tests in zfs-test allocate space from rpool". Probably it needs enough number of block devices?

those tests are asking for 3 disks to perform tests. if anything more is asked, this should be documented.

unfortunately, it is really poorly documented and buggy as hell.

tsoome_: the best you could do is work it out and improve the documentation

tsoome_: I know danmcd runs them as part of an over-arching set of smartos tests, and presumably knows things.

tsoome_: it doesn't hurt me that my test (VMware) machine has ramdisk root, protected-large-ish-pool `zones`, and SSD backing it up on the VMware host (a Mac).

I'm SURE zfs-tests could use more documentation love.

i have a vm w/ three 12gb disks that i use for most of my zfs test runs

i haven't had any issues with it so far *knock on wood*

wouldn't want to have to create a new vm

7 out of those 24 are done by me.
