sjorgeI think the ppt_* files end up in the bootarchive normally, so deleting them from mounted failing BE probably had no effect
-
sjorgealso USB can be a but tricky, as one controller usually has multiple physical ports, I ended up using a startech card which is a pcie bridge to 4 seperate controllers with 1 port each
-
sjorgesome of the mainboard ones were behind the seperate PCH controller for me and targeting those had weird results too
-
yuripvcan you set 'apic_panic_on_nmi' to 1 from *loader* prompt?
-
andyfyes, well you use the newer feature. I'll just get to a loader prompt to confirm the syntax
-
andyfI think `set nmi=panic` should work from the loader's ok prompt

Agnarhey otis...do you have any clues on i915 driver? :)
-
otiswell, in fact, i don't use anything but macos on desktop :-( i know that i915 is very picky abount kernel vs. userland sync, but that's all.
-
Agnarotis: thought so ;) I'm still finding a way to get a laptop with /usable/ graphics running with OI
-
Agnarand by surprise I noticed that the HCL lists the Intel HD 520 as working, while in my t470 I just have the vesa driver. after some beers I came up with the idea that the i915 might not be loaded - and that was the cause. so I add_drv the correct pci-id, rebooted and then the kernel hangs after loading mouse8042 ;)
-
denkone day in the dark deep core of the kernel a mouse hung on its cord, it's so pity...

vetalpilonsi: I suppose that you have something wrong in boot_archive after you used USB devices. BTW,
-
vetalpilonsi: BTW, is '/dev/dsk/c1t2d0s1' device of your pool?
-
pilonsiHello! The system has been working ok through several reboots since I did the scrub yesterday
-
pilonsiBut yeah, c1t2d0s1 is the only device in my rpool
-
vetalpilonsi: So problem is solved?
-
pilonsiYes :)

jclulowI really don't understand why you wouldn't just put those features _into FUSE_ if they were broadly helpful
