How in general is creating new drivers and driver support going on with illumos lately? Is it avoiding bumps on security flags, taking a good pace, especially about CPU errata, what is your opinion?

and the URL seemed to be about BIOS-level fixes, not OS-level

well obviously our drivers resolve the issue (by not having it)! :)

... though I did mention to Alex... apparently Intel has some MSRs... because apparently certain instructions people thought were constant time turn out to not be on some platforms

i don't know if that's something we'd want to look into possibly enabling
